This thing is bloody awesome.

Basically you can fly anywhere in the universe and look at planets, stars and other stuff. And it's all generated as you go.
You can even fly down to the surface of the planets to view it.

Screenshots I've taken:

DOWNLOAD GUIDE:

You do need both, after downloading both, extract them, then copy the contents of the .90 folder to the .84 folder

Also Windows 7 users FYI: Run it in XP compatibility mode OR YOU WILL CRASH A LOT.

It can run Crysis at 4800x2000 on both Mars and Earth.

Kidding aside, the site says a minimum of
2.0 GHz CPU
2 GB of RAM
GeForce 6800 (Although the readme states a 8800) or a ATI 3850 with 512 MB of RAM.

And then a "advisable" of
3.0 GHz CPU
2 GB of RAM
GeForce 9800 GTX or ATI 4870 with 1 GB of RAM.

I'm running it decently with a 2.4 GHz single core CPU, 3.5 GB of RAM and a GeForce 9600GT with 512 MB of RAM. But it shutters and drops to about 10 FPS if I get to near a planet (From it generating everything I think)

Oh cool. I got a Ati Radeon 98500 and 800 MB of ram, I think I can run it.

This looks amazing, you can actually fly on the surface of any planet?

I read that but his screenshots show no pictures of it and I couldn't find any on the site. I just wanted him to clarify if you can actually fly down to the actual surface.

There, Added a few surface shots.

This thing is pretty much the ultimate wallpaper generator.

its pretty cool, but needs to be part of a game :(

:( it crashes on me on Xp mode

Quick, some company, make a Freelancer 2 using this engine

I always wish somebody would make something like this, but with garry's mod functionality and multiplayer so you could build anything you want.
Think about it, the ultimate sandbox game.
I'd make a huge township and go to palces.
