There will be no shutdown!

I hope that Donald Annoying Orange represents the Republican Party next election.  He is actually quite Libertarian, and mixes the best of both parties imo.
Donald Annoying Orange would be a great president.

The democrats are refusing to pass the budget bill, because the republicans are refusing to remove a clause that prohibits giving money to clinics and foundations that provide abortion services.

The Democrats are starfishs because, if the Government shuts down many services will be stalled and all military wages will be hung until such a time the government has been refunded.

The Republicans are starfishs because, this clause is useless. There are federal laws that prohibit spending tax dollars on abortion. De-funding these clinics are just making women's health services unavailable, abortions have always been privately funded.

I heard Gary Busey wants to be VP. lolwut

tea party did it. it was a protest against abortion basically. the religious people ruin things for everyone once again.

That and stupid tax beliefs. Why do you think they're called the Tea Party?

So wait. It's already past midnight on the east coast..
Did our government shut down yet?

no they fixed it.
house still hadnt voted on it though. but it seems completed.

I knew it wasn't a big deal at all. Even if it had shutdown it would have been a minimum of a week or two...

Also, did you know Congress is still payed during a shutdown?

Tom

From what I understand they came up with a temporary budget that will extend the deadline.

Both parties are at fault, but the GOP is at fault because they pledged to cut a certain amount. I even read about some protesters who wanted the government to shut down if the cuts were not made, but I bet they would be thinking differently if it was their job on the line.

Of course I think it would be nice if the congressmen didn't get pay if the government shuts down. I'm sure they would try a little harder to reach a decision if they didn't have to worry about not getting paid.

Off-topic: Sometimes, this makes me stop and think if 2012 is really coming with the events that have happened in the past few years, such as the global economic crCIA and the Japanese earthquake sending oil prices going up and a big scare of the reactors. But it's just a theory. Prove me wrong if you want.

On-topic: I think I heard of the shutdown happening because of people not paying taxes, sending the government into debt and unable to pay for anything. This would result in a lot of things closing down such as national parks and some other things. Happening because of the ... Japanese earthquake or Libya? Just a guess. I need to read up some more on it.

Also what Tom says is true.

Come live with me in Cuba

No, where the hell did you get that source? Government shut downs happen when Congress can't decide on it's new budget until after the last budget plan expires.

So all that stuff about the Republican plan saving us 4tril isn't true?

I don' care if the republicans did it or not. I'm fine with either party as long as one of them aren't insane.
