Author Topic: Editing Tutorial for Beginners  (Read 2119 times)

I know MS Paint is not a good editor, but this applies to all editing programs. I will not be answering any more comments telling me that MS Paint isn't good. I do not use it anymore. Thank you for reading, I hope this tutorial helps.

In this tutorial, yours truly, me, will be showing you some basic Microsoft paint editing!

What you will learn:
How to create realistic textures without effort,
How to import images, and make them blend in,
How to rewrite image's text, or remove it!

Requirements

Microsoft paint,
An image to edit!

Now, lets get started.

Getting your image in

Open Google Images, and select witch one you want to edit. Hover your mouse over it to show its full size, while it is in full size, right click, and select "Copy Image". Open up Microsoft Paint, and hit paste, if you have the latest version, it will be a picture of a clipboard, if not, select "Edit" and then "Paste.

Positioning and Resizing
Click and hold down on your image, drag it to the correct position, and let go. Click away to see what it looks like, hit the Swerving arrow, or hit undo if it looks bad, then try again. If  your image is to big, click on one of the corner boxes, and start to resize it, do not make it to small, because when you make it bigger it looks blurry and pixely. Repeat step 1 to reposition it.

Editing
Oh god... This is by far the hardest part, and beginners need to take their time on it. Lets say you want to remove a certain  cow in a field of grass. Just going over him with green coloring wont help at all, I will teach you how to fill that area in with completely realistic grass. Equip the selection box as your tool, and select a small box of grass, not to small though. Right click and hit "Copy".
Next hit "Edit" and then "Paste". Repeat step 2 and put it in the correct spot, over the cow. But get grass from all over the picture, or people will notice it repeats, get grass in all shapes and sizes, and put them over the cow. As long as you spend your time on it, and work hard, it should turn out OK. But remember, Try, try, try, again, and pretty soon, it will be amazing!

Remember, this tutorial is for beginners!

I am sorry I posted this twice, I did not know I couldn't edit it in here.

A beginners tutorial should teach the basics of an advanced image editor, instead of using one so crappy that they won't be able to use one that's more advanced.

I edited.

Why do we need this?
It is a simple off-topic tutorial, their are many people who might want to edit some photos. I can understand if you don't need it, but somebody else might, and I would consider myself rather good at editing.

Yes, I will probably make a Photoshop tutorial in the future, I'm just to god-damned lazy right now.

Where do I get the picture with the cow?

I need to see how good you are.
Post pics.

Making a "tutorial" for editing wit MSPaint is useless, as no smart person uses it.

I don't use it anymore either, but some people cannot afford anything good. also:

Paint.net and GIMP are both free and really good.
Please tell me what the forget you think you're talking about.

It would just look normal, because I edit them to look realistic. If you like I can post a before/after photo.

Yes, because Photoshop is the only good image editor that exists.

Ugh, people... This is a tutorial for Microsoft paint, even if it sucks.
