should i jailbreak my ipod? :(

i jailbroke mine and its been fun, nothing Bad has happened so i say go for it

It opens a lotta extra-cool features but if you have an old generation, you'll get nothing but crashes

Or you could send me it :P

lies.
I have a 8GB 3rd gen (running iOS 4.2.1), which is a pretty much a 2nd gen with bluetooth, and it runs just fine. I have backgrounds enabled and some extra eye candy here and there.

If you used greenpoison to jailbreak it however, I wouldn't change the bootlogo, it sent my iPod into an endless loop and I had to restore and re-jailbreak it.

Yes, do jailbreak your device. The benefits of it greatly outweigh the risks.

...the second gen has Bluetooth too. I had a jailbroken 2g that was ultra-optimized and ran really fast.

And then, I got a Droid 2, which is infinitely better.

YES. Very few bad things can happen, and it removes a lot of dumb restrictions.

DO IT. NAOW.

Jailbreaking is the best if you know what you're doing.

RULE OF EVERYTHING: NEVER UPDATE WITHOUT CHECKING AROUND TO SEE IF IT WILL BREAK YOUR JAILBREAK

The last thing you want to do is update then find out you're unjailbroken and there's no new jailbreak for the next few months. Once you've jailbroken using an iDevice is better.
