Author Topic: last night in Alabama!  (Read 2555 times)

Weather report for the past few weeks where I live: Lots and lots and lots of wind.

I BLAME GLOBAL WARMING

Why do people even live above ground in a place prone to disasters like that?
Here in al dosnt happen all the  time

What city you live in?

Enterprise, AL for me.  Nothin but high winds and loving tornado sirens woke me up at 1AM.

so theres about 4 uninjured rednecks left in Alabama?

Anyone else realize this was bumped from the 16TH OF APRIL?

the storm of course was also on Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and other states.
I can guarantee that i live here and got the storm. The tornado was right next to our apartments. But decided to turn around and take its golf ball sized hail with it. Only trees were damaged in my neighborhood. Also lightning struck every 3 seconds. Along with heavy-light rain.

One of my friends was so close, her car window was shattered by debris. :panda: <3

sorry to hear about the window, man. windows are really nice and I would never want to loose my windows like that.

out.

Those storms were pretty bad. I'm guessing my neighborhood was at the edge of the storm, but I did see a tornado touch down for about 3 minutes. I'm glad it didn't come in my direction, what with my neighborhood being a trailer park and all, but some of the car dealerships on the highway were selling their cars cheap since the hail busted up the windows.

This'll be the last time I post this  :cookieMonster:

This storm, the tornado (one of those huge ones) was about 2 miles or so from my house and it was behind a fire dept. it jumped and missed me, I live in centerpoint. My power was out for about 38 hours, My neighbors had to come stay in my basement with us because they didn't have one. Pleasant grove is like.. destroyed, my grandfather used to live there. I wonder what that house looks like now.. :(

I also found a picture in the road and a piece of tin in the tree in my backyard, looks like it came from a trailer or something.

Meh it was just a lot of rain and lightning here in Shelby County AL
I'm in the jefferson area :\

i see this stuff on the news, and every house in this dirt farming town are built on a flat slab of pavement. that isnt even proper foundation. the stuff just shifted right off; like who didnt see that coming?
and every person there they interview is like handicapped or something.

"uhhh, its windy, and i was all scerrd. my car's windows all broked"
"huh? oh yeah my family is ok, should i have mentioned that first?"

I live in a valley, hence my city's name, Valley, and we haven't gotten a tornado in God knows how long. So I'm still alive.
Lightning struck about every second, too, and that was really pretty.

Well, the chances of finding an articulated person for an interview down here are pretty slim.  Plus, the media loves interviewing idiots...it always makes for ratings gold.  Just look at that leprechaun news report.
