So here's the deal, guys, and I'm posting this here because some of you have managed to stuff out some good advice on girls in the past so...what the hell.
There's this girl, she's a junior, I'm a sophomore, but that doesn't even really matter at all just thought I'd mention it. We first met at a going away party for a mutual friend who went off to college last October. She's very very pretty (I'm not posting pictures), very direct and down to earth kinda. She's really into gaming, and overall just really fun to hang out with. I hang out with her at school whenever I can, and I went over to her house once but barely got to hang out because in a handicapped turn of events I had to leave quickly (screw my parents :C ).
Now the tricky part. I decided to ask her out on a real date, and I didn't want to wait anymore. I wasn't gonna be a pusillanimous individual like I was with other girls and just get down to the point. I was talking to her on FB chat and was literally just about to be like "Hey, can I take you out to dinner sometime? I really like spending time with you and it should happen more often" or something like that, I don't really remember. Before I say that she's like "Brb, chatting up a cute senior ;)" and I was like...uh...erm. So a few minutes later she says "Scored a date for next friday!".

So I explain to her what I was going to say, and why (I'm afraid many of you will say this was a bad idea, but whatever I already did it) and she said she was flattered, and assured there would be no awkwardness in further interaction because that would just be...awkward lol. So I still talk to her, but she's flat out said to me recently she's still interested in this guy and I guess they went to Tolo (girls choice dance), and I just feel like a dumb ass for not asking her out earlier. I honestly don't know how she would have responded, so I assumed she would be like "EW NU NAO WE CANNOT BE FRANS". Anyway, I'm wondering where I should go from here. Should I act like none of this happened and wait for her to not be dating him? The only problem with that is...if it takes off I'll have to just be around her next year with her boyfriend in college and her still at HS. I'm really stuck here WAT DO
Thanks in advance. My only past relationship was 3 days. Didn't work out because she lived too far away and she was 2 grades below me. So I'm not the best with relationships at all, but I do know that I think about this girl every day and I just want to be with her pretty much all the time :|
