Garry's mod problem

This topic pertains to multiplayer, you have been warned

Whenever i load a server on my PC, it will reach the stage of "sending client info" and freeze. It appears that it is loading because it keeps saying "calibrating manhacks" and so on. eventually the multiplayer will crash and i will be sent back to the main menu.

this problem isnt happening on my mac [mac multiplayer dont work at all]

try running gmod in administrator mode
