Garry's Mod is a sandbox game, much like Blockland.
TF2 is a class based shooter, it has many weapons that you don't unlock but find.

It really depends on what you like more. Killing or Sandboxing?

Wait for sales for the games. They have them all the time.

...You could make some more money, and then wait for some sale to go on and buy the entire valve pack for 50$.
and then get some more money to buy Gmod.
