I've only recently played TF2 a ton. When I first got it, I didn't touch it. I thought FPS's at the time were toxic hell holes and I had no interest in just shooting people for no reason.

Now, I love it.

I personally like Gmod, you can do more in it, but I suppose it depends on your interests.
Plus, Gmod requires at least one Source game like HL2, HL2 Episodes 1 & 2, Counter Strike: Source Team Fortress 2, and I think DoD works too, not sure.

I think saving 5 more dollars and getting both with the combo pack would be a better idea.
