It's good but what are the other specs? Gpu ram etc

I'll be upgrading the GPU and adding RAM. I'm buying this from dell outlet with a 20% off cupon.

Inspiron 580

That's not bad at all. If you're going to be upgrading the gpu, make sure that the power supply has a PCI-e port, otherwise you'll need to go with either a weaker card, or a new power supply aswell. Generally most psu's do now a days, but I'm not sure how it is with pre-builts, I've never bought one.

And in terms of ram, you shouldn't really need to upgrade, 4 gigs will be good for damn near anything you throw at it, unless you plan on going from 1066MHz to something else.

Also, I hope you know the case is going to be pretty small, but I'm assuming you've seen the actual computer.

But yeah, for that price, good find, and have fun with it. [:

I'll probably have to upgrade the power supply when I get the new GPU.

You might not have to, when you get to the store, just ask them if you can see the power supply they use.

Speaking of psu's, how powerful is this one? You'll probably want upwards of ~500-750

It will, and I think it ships with 300. I'm ordering it.

Oh alright. Then yeah, just make sure the gpu you decide to order actually fits in your case, there are some massive cards out there.

And good luck with everything, buying a new computer is exciting. :3

Thanks, bro!

No problem. If you have any other questions, I'll look out for this thread.

I'm going through those final second thought moments. Will this CPU bottleneck a good GPU?

I really don't think it would, but give me a sec, I'll look that CPU up. I don't know too much about Intel, so gimme a sec.

Edit:

It really shouldn't bottleneck, that's a fairly good processor according to most websites.

No problem, if you need help with finding cards/better ram, just PM me or somethin.

That means furniture, right?
