Pretty much, this is a wand that can take anything built on a 16X16 baseplate, save it to a file, and then when you want in again, on a different map, you don't have to rebuild and re-event it. Becuase lets face it, loading saves on a map they didnt start in, is a mess.
So, you load the save file, and a 16X16 baseplate ghost shows up. You plant that baseplate, and it loads the rest of the bricks and their events/emitters/colors/lights/names.

Duplicator /savedup and /loaddup feature does this to a further extent than just bricks on a 16x16 baseplate.

Oh, im sorry. I didnt know that was a feature? Is that new? I've never heard of it, honestly. i'm off to try.

I feel extremely stupid for not knowing these commands existed...

question though, I looked at the console when testing.  Does it save these files on the server or client?

Server.

There's no good way other than macros to save a build on a client.

Wow, I wish I'd known about those before. thanks

Well, maybe someone can make a mod of the thing so it saves on the client.

well, when macros can work even if I move, that will be feasible. Right now it isnt.

Again, there's no good way to do it other than that.

There just isn't.

Really.

Honest question, what keeps the duplicator from saving on the client? Other things can save files on the client.

/loaddup and /savedup commands have 1 majour problem- you cant load anything you saved on another server. I dont even think, if it's not your server, you can do anything with it. Then again Rathymos used it on my server. Nevermind. But still, you cant load stuff you saved on another server.

Again, and I want an honest experienced developer opinion, is it really impossible for the duplicator to save the files on the client?
