Need help writing scary story

School assignment, I'm drawing blanks.
I'm not a very scary guy, but I need some original ideas to kick off a story.

The catch is I need to be able to present it from memory in a pitch black old rifle range. I need to get some sleep, but can I ask you guys for some spooky ideas to help get my story started?

I can think of some ideas on my own, though I'm hoping for some good ideas from you!

A guy's fortune of death comes true.

He goes to a fortune teller in a carnival, and she tells him that she sees a horrible future. After he meets her, he starts having the best week of his life. He gets a promotion, he wins the lottery, and other things that I cant think of. Then, one day, he loses everything and commits Self Delete. OR. One day he dies from an untimely death.

The story would be about a librarian with a dark past. It would takes place in a factory in a small city. The critical element of the story is the taking of a test. The threat of terrorism would play a major part in this story.

Yeah, his life is looking great, when he gets delusions, small at first, but they keep getting bigger until they consume said person

No, I'd be great. A lone librarian is actually part of a deadly terrorist gang. However, he stays undercover in a small town, where he trains prospective new terrorists. The test would involve a factory that is abandoned, and the new terrorists would have to blow it up. However the whole operation would be thwarted by the FBI in a deadly thrill- Wait, this sounds more like an action movie.
