Author Topic: why do you believe in god?  (Read 19252 times)

Eh, like I said, we can't necessarily tell for sure.

Yes. Which leaves the question, who could possibly base their lives on an unprovable, hole ridden, mysterious, out-dated bunch of stories designed for a different time and different people. In this modern world where we know more about the universe and what we are than ever before, its interesting watching religion slowly but surely crumble and try to adapt to people and re-worm itself into society.

There are many old things in the bible that are no longer acceptable. How can you possibly pick and chose what to follow in the bible?

Anything science disproves in the Bible is written off as a misinterpretation of its scriptures.

From my opinions thread if you haven't seen it:

Not athiest, but I don't believe in religion.

what the hell is in mcdonalds besides 100% msg
McDonalds supports e621.

I'm a Buddhist.

I personally don't believe in god, but nor do I make it my duty to disprove his existence to those who do. I figure if people are happy with what they believe, let them believe it. Their beliefs don't harm me directly or indirectly.

I only believe in a higher power or powers. None of those fake stories in the bible, those are just stupid to believe in :/

why not? theres no proof that he doesn't exist and i like the feeling of knowing theres someone up there somewhere

thats loving horrid
this is why mass christian genocide is needed
it would take hundreds of years to purge religion entirely but the end result would suprisingly be a major decrease in hate, racisim, loveism, and genocide

as well as purging traditions that rebuild gender barriers and such
Holy stuff, you are a gigantic hypocrite. Do us all a favor and kill yourself, you sick forget.

I don't

because of the miraculous things that I've seen and heard of

I believe in God because most scientific men are so sure of his own superiority and explanation of the universe, yet he still can't explain the origin of the universe. Also, because most men have the fear of realizing they are controled by a higher power, yet I do not have this same fear.
