Author Topic: why do you believe in god?  (Read 19576 times)

No, it means that God isn't affected by time, HURRRRR

The Bible says the earth is round.
Your argument is invalid.

lolwut. I'm not sure if your or my version is wrong but it certainly doesn't say anything about the earth being round.

Your version is wrong then.

Your version is wrong then.

Isaiah 11:12
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH.

nope

i swear i posted in this thread where did my post go.

Because I stand up for what I know is true Im brainwashed. :D
But you don't loving know it's true. That's the thing. On the other hand, there's no way to tell if it's not true.

"He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness" (Job 26:10) :O

"Instead, the humanists took some biblical passages out of context. One such example is Revelation 7:1, which prophetically refers to the four corners of the earth. Instead of understanding the figurative nature of the verse, the humanists attempted to impose a strictly literal meaning on the passage. This passage is obviously referring to the directions of North, South, East, and West."

Some say corners, some say ends, some say other things.
I'd bet that the english translations are incorrect anyway.

And yet medieval Christians believed in a flat world.

"He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness" (Job 26:10) :O
I am still wondering how something managed to just spit out an entire universe consisting of mostly hydrogen.
Because really, a horizon, that takes a stuffload of silicium, hydrogen, carbon, oxygen etc.
Unless god is a second name for singularity I don't see how that is possible.
Just realised singularity means "I don't know", so someone with decent intelligence is probably goign to use that, but I mean singularity as in indescribably dense point of matter.

Everything basically boils down to this: What existed first? The universe or God?

How do you believe the earth was created?

I don't see how a sphere can either have ends OR quarters but alas.

because a direction is a corner/quarter/end hurr hurr

Just gonna add this in.
Isaiah 40:22: "There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth," or as other translations say, "the globe of the earth"

How do you believe the earth was created?
There's no loving way to tell, people.

We have grown over this, and I think it is about time we drop churches as churches
Churches are beautiful, I don't want them to be demolished. Not to mention they're part of a country's culture.
Read my post 2 up:
"The bible is pure imaginated stories bundled together, with the tag "Religion" on it so everyone that is religious buys it. Seeing most people don't like to urposefully think about the meanings of life, alot choose the already-present, packaged and easy-to-install religion. Therefore the book is sold like, a billion times?"
I wouldn't say all of it is made up, but I think they might have exaggerated on some subjects throughout the book, making it sound unbelievable for some people.
"He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, at the boundary of light and darkness" (Job 26:10) :O
I have "Job" but I don't have "Isaiah", bible confuses Miika :(
