because a direction is a corner/quarter/end hurr hurr

"Misconceptions about the Bible have been around for a long time. For example, one misconception is that the Bible teaches that the earth is flat, or that it is the center of the universe. A closer examination of Scripture shows otherwise. The idea of a flat earth from the Bible is rooted in the biblical language of "four corners" in Isaiah 11:12 and Revelation 7:1, and "four winds" in Jeremiah 49:36 and Matthew 24:31. The Hebrew and Greek words translated "corner" are also translated as "quarter" and are best understood as "directions" or "headings." The Bible's usage obviously refers to the four directions as measured from the particular focal point of interest and is the standard convention used in surveying and mapping to this day. Moreover, in Isaiah 40:22 the Bible uses the term the "circle of the earth," also translated "sphere of the earth" as is evident from the context. "

I don't see how a sphere can either have ends OR quarters but alas.

I don't think geometry was invented yet. :cookieMonster:

why are satanic churches not allowed?
that's discriminating to the maximum.

this is being discussed in the forums for a game about building with lego-like materials online

How do you believe the earth was created?
I know the Earth was created from debris wich originated from the "Big Bang", howver I hate caling it that because that suggests of the existance of just 1 big bang. Look up M-theory or brane-theory for the origins of all matter, but don't ask me to describe them in a single forum post. However, this spitted out a crapton of hydrogen, because that is one of the simpelest atoms to make, requiring nearly no protons or electrons. This cloud drifted off and due to the properties of space-time clut together. These clouds formed suns, wich are infact just huge helium and hydrogen nuclear fusion reactor. Of course, smaller bits of hydrogen atoms smashed together under the vast gravity of this, wich such force enw lements were created. Elements such as carbon, silicium, iron... All the good stuff you get if you drill down alot. These came into the orbit of the star due to it's huge impact on space time, and their own gravity pulled theim together. Solar winds and meteor smashed rounded up the earht a bit, and as we moved in orbit of the sun, it began to cool down here, to a comfy hydrogendioxide-solidifying point.

Again with the direction = corner bullstuff?

They referred north as north, east as east and so on. And about that "globe" thing, it was never translated properly as globe. In the bible it says circle all the time.

Nothing gets the forum going like a faith-off.
