it's in swedish, but I'm pretty sure you can figure out the specs.

so I made a calculation, and buying the computer together with a hard drive upgrade and windows 7 costs about $909. Is it worth it?

also,
How about this one? It's quad core

since it's a 1tb hard drive I don't need an upgrade, so computer + windows 7 totals about $1033
is that better?

Get it. Its worth it.

i could make a way better computer for $900
the athlon ii isn't that good of a processor series

Not bad, might be slightly a bit overpriced and I would recommend building your own computer but it's a decent deal.

But due note that tri core processors are defective quad cores. I have one on my laptop and it hasn't given me issues yet so I don't think it'll be an issue.

they're just not fast enough to meet AMD's standards for the quad cores, so they deactivate one core and sell them as tri cores. they're not defective. and it IS perfectly possible to have 3 cores on a die, the xbox360's processor has 3 cores on the die.

*sigh*

Maybe defective isn't the greatest word, it was just more for lack of a better term. You put it better but as you said tri cores aren't fast enough to meet the standards for quad cores, thus I'm quite paranoid about them having issues.

nah they run fine im sure. and i was a little harsh sorry ;-;

anyways i wouldnt get an athon ii if im spending $900 on a computer. its worth it to get something better.

Ok ok.

Also, athon II isn't that bad. Gamefandan uses it but too bad it's bottlenecked by his video card when he tries to play GTA4 with me.

Him disconnecting every 15 minutes is not fun. :s

I've been trying to convince him to get a 460GTX SE that's selling for like 130 dollars which is great compared to my 460GTX EVGA OC that I got for 250 dollars.

Something tells me $909 is overpriced.
Mine is custom, ~$630, and I think the only thing on that list that is better is the graphics card (mine being a Geforce 9800 GT).

Heehee, I can read Swedish.
Looks pretty good, although I think you can do better.

It's decent for a prebuilt.

It's also alright for a prebuilt.

My computer is slightly better and I payed about 599 for it :o
