Author Topic: My friend is having trouble running the CD-version of GTA: SA on Win7.  (Read 546 times)

My friend installed GTA: San Andreas (Not the steam version, the CD version.) on his Windows 7 computer, and when he started it up, it froze after playing the intro movie and showing the logo.
I've been looking very deeply for a fix for this, but no luck (With google, that is).
Is there ANY reason to run GTA: SA on Windows 7 32-bit? I'm asking for him, because I want to know too, and he's too lazy to ask on forums.

i'm no computer nerd but don't older games not work with vista and Win7

Most games that I play that are old, I have to download a patch for it to work.

Try setting it to a compatibility mode to a OS that it says its compatible for.

No luck. I tried XP SP3, and Vista SP1, but it still crashed in exactly the same way.

Try running as administrator.

Try running windows in XP Mode.

Note: You need to install GTA: SA again for it to work.
