i prefer windows 7 over vista
one reason: because i own windows 7

windows vista does not give you cancer or anything though
only hepatitis

I would prefer windows vista, it is trust-worthy, reliable, and it is cheap...
All OS's are reliable. I can't name one that isn't. But if your talking about gaming, then yeah I could point those out.

I could yet again argue that Windows Vista has been ultimately more stable for me than Windows 7 has ever been.

No, I'm not lying.

How would I install drivers for Intel 845?

if so i won't cancel the download.

I ran vista for like 3 years without any problem. The only reason I changed was because my laptop started on fire (literally) so I had to get a new computer.

You would prefer an OS that's 10 years old and breaks itself after a while to something that's only 4 years old and actually is incredibly stable?

Naw, Wine can't host servers. Blockland itself needs a server port for Ubuntu...
