Do you think nuclear power is a good, or bad, thing?

Well, im curious. Some people are, some aren't, and I was interested in whether you think it is or isn't and why.

I think it is a good thing, not a permanent solution but a temporary one at the least.

don't forget another crucial thing: Chernobyl was poorly designed. It used a loving RBMK reactor, which is a cluster forget of stupidity.

No one ever digs deep enough before throwing a fit over an accident.

graphite moderator, which is the dumbest thing anyone could ever do. Graphite moderators have only caused problems, which was also shown at the Windscale accident in the 50's, and graphite tipped control rods. When inserted, they did the opposite of what they should do: They spiked the power for a few seconds instead of dropping it, which is what also partially contributed to the accident. Even worse, no reinforced containment building.
