Author Topic: Do you think nuclear power is a good, or bad, thing?  (Read 5750 times)

Tis perfectly safe mmmkay.

Use fuel cells. We just need tons of platinum.

Also is it just me or has nobody mentioned Japan yet?

Maybe I missed it.

anyway i knew sheath would oppose this
bahaha i knew it seriously

It provides a stuff ton of power, without polluting the environment, and is perfectly safe. We need more of them, but that isn't going to happen because the media just has a loving orgy when one goes "worst possible case scenario" and smears the image of the entire industry. Chernobyl was a case of irresponsibility and failure to follow protocol, Three Mile Island was an outdated and under maintained plant, and Japan's most recent one was hit by a loving earthquake (protip: Don't build these things on loving FAULT LINES).

That nuclear waste you are all bitching about will soon be used as fuel.

Your all funny, The smoke that comes out of the nuclear plants are Steam, the steam cant do anything to the enviroment accept make it rain more there c:

Chernobyl wasn't irresponsibility. They were just running a mandatory test of a self-fueling reactor.
However, I'm with you on this one - it's a ton of energy, and it doesn't let out greenhouse gases. I'm fine with it, although they should make it a bit safer. :s

i agree with that yuki guy or whatever lol

It's already incredibly safe.

these headphones make my head hurt

I think nuclear power is a good thing, better than burning loving dinosaurs to make a tiny bit of power

Well, they should at least develop a way to use the waste before we starting using it any more. Even standing next to a used rod that's under less than 30 feet of water will kill you.

Actually the Canadians have a reactor that can do that already, with some reprocessing. Except it only works with the CANDU design and an LWR reactor.

also coverup and poor design had a part in it, and it was a test to see if it could run water through itself with the left over momentum of the turbines until the generators kicked in during a power outage.

TristanLuigi approves.
Yuki is right. Nuclear power is a great power source but isn't tht common.

Yup. Nuke power is clean, safe if you're not insane like the guys at Chernobyl, and reliable.

And it's cool.
