Portal 2-worth it?

Hey, I just really quickly wanted to know if portal 2 was really worth the buy. Is there a lot of stuff to do, both in singleplayer AND mutiplayer? Also, is there a good storyline that is worth playing through?

Yes to single player, took me like 7 hours, not sure about multiplayer though.

There is no multiplayer aside from co op.

Single player is like 8 hours, co op is like 4.

You should play Portal 1, then Portal 2.  And if you really love VALVe, play the Half-Life Series first.

It's not the time of the gameplay that's been hyped, it's the quality. And the quality matches all the hype it'd been given. The first game of the series was three hours long on the first playthrough, but it still won countless awards.
