Author Topic: Portal 2-worth it?  (Read 4005 times)

There is no multiplayer aside from co op.

Unless you are playing with one of my friends, then it's more like "try to kill and trick each other as much as we can".

Single player is like 8 hours, co op is like 4.

You should play Portal 1, then Portal 2.  And if you really love VALVe, play the Half-Life Series first.

How do you expect death matches in such a game?

Sorry, I forgot that I'm not allowed an opinion.

Yeah, everyone says this is the greatest game of the year and that's cool, but for 7-8 hours of gameplay, I can wait a year until it's $20.
This. I'm not paying 50 dollars for something I'll beat once and never touch again.

Great.
Nice Spoil dude.
You're welcome

You're a richard
You're cute :)

In this game, you'd just be gone just as quickly as you came in.

An opinion we've time and time again explained against and yet you talk as if the point was never made.

And again, DLCs will be coming. The game will be expanded. It's already 4.7 GB on Xbox (I installed to my harddrive). You also won't beat it once. I beat it multiple times of my own love for it, listening to Commentary Nodes which had very interesting information not just about the game but about real people and such. The Easter Egg hunting in this is great, playing with Portals it awesome. The fun only ends at your own inability to grasp childlike joy for more than a few hours in initial uncertainty of what's to come.

God, I overfancied that. Probably came out sounding like rubbish. Lol Brits.

Oh okay that settles it, I'll just not buy it at all.

Oh okay that settles it, I'll just not buy it at all.
Unless it comes with a DLC pack that includes the game thats discounted so it's the cost of the game

Oh okay that settles it, I'll just not buy it at all.
Dlc just means downloadable content, not Loel buy map packsfjsj

Oh okay that settles it, I'll just not buy it at all.

You'd be getting it for PC, right? If so, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN MAPS OR DOWNLOAD OTHERS. Bang, there's your value. Now stop acting like a jerk. :panda:

Custom maps didn't keep me around for Portal 1.

Oh okay that settles it, I'll just not buy it at all.

you wont buy it because you get free dlc on the pc?

Will the DLC for it be on xbox :o

Sorry, I forgot that I'm not allowed an opinion.
No, not really.  An opinion from someone who hasn't even experienced what their commenting on isn't worth anything.

It's like if I asked some guy if the food from some restaurant was good and they said "No it sucks, I couldn't even get in the door because it was too busy"  That doesn't tell me jack stuff if the food was good or not, just that there was a big waiting line.

Saying a game isn't worth it just because it costs more than the original is a dumb comment.  Almost all games are released at 60 dollars, am I going to tell you they all suck?  No because I didn't play any of them.  It's ok to say "It's not worth it to me, I don't like puzzle games and 50 bucks is too much for me to spend on 7 hours" that's fine, but don't tell someone who is asking that it sucks just because it's too much for you to spend.

But am I a huge Portal fan?  Of course.  And does that make my opinion biased?  Sure does.  But I have yet to see anyone in this thread who has played the game and said it's not worth it.  The only people saying it isn't worth it haven't even played it.
