Author Topic: DSi wont connect to Wi-Fi?  (Read 2178 times)

I had that.

My DS was blocked on the router. I had to reset my router.

if you ever used a pirated game on your or used an Action replay on wifi on dsi or 3ds it can be remotely bricked,as in nintendo can disable your ability to play online or go online.

Good, I have a DSLite. I have a flashcart.

My DS Lite lost its wi-fi a long time ago.

Because you probably used a action replay on wi fi and a nintendo reporter found you and remotely bricked your system while connected to wifi.

I'm lucky then.

Uh guys... DSi isn't like hat.. I used Action Replay all the time. Where you get forgeted up is probably it online, but even that isn't so sure. You could Action Replay a realistically statted Pokemon and they couldn't brick you.

Although I heard the 3DS has much stricter protection. That combined with that it's always on, looking for new messages and junk. Unless you force it to be unable to connect, you'd probably get caught pretty quickly.

If you play online on wifi using a Action Replay sometimes theres certain players online
that will brick your game/system using the friend code you have.

Although not the same situation. Again, 3DS is constantly connected unless forced off (or is there a setting that bypasses?) and much easier to detect Action Replay.

Error Code: 51300

Unable to connect to your wireless network

Likely cause: It appears that the security settings entered into the Nintendo DS are not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow.

How to fix: Make sure the security key and security type are entered into the Nintendo DS exactly as they appear in your router's settings.

Don't know how to find your router's security key?

Additional information:

Using an Actiontec or 2Wire router? The default security key is often found on a sticker located on the router.
Security keys are case-sensitive.
WEP keys contain numbers 0 through 9, and only letters A through F.

Copied from the nintendo site.
Try entering the information again. You might have pressed the same "key" twice because of the gimmicky touch screen.

You can turn off wireless on the side though, yet you can still break a code using the AR and brick it.

I'm sure Action Replay will make bypasses so it isn't more then 50% likely to insta-brick.
