I prefer not having the game slow to a crawl after a certain amount of time because there are literally no resources left on the map. That's just a stupid gameplay mechanic. I can't even think of another RTS with resources that actually run out except for maybe Age of Empires, and they give you way more to mine than you could ever use. As for the hipster remark, I may as well ask you if you're some kind of mainstream idiot that only likes bad games and it would be just as valid.

I always nock out the power of the laser guy right away then storm in with my troops, cause those lasers are power hungry.

Oh yeah, half my base would be powerplants because of that. While the AI was smart enough to bomb and nuke large clusters of power plants, i always had buildings i wasn't using shut down and many more power plants than i needed.

I was talking about Red Alert 3, not Generals. I've never played Generals. I got it with this CnC First Decade disc, but it wouldn't run. That sadded me because I mainly got the thing for Generals.
