Author Topic: 35 reasons why you should learn how to play Dwarf Fortress.  (Read 3038 times)

At first glance, Dwarf Fortress looks like a mess of ASCII characters.

But underneath the confusing jumble of nonsense lies the greatest RTS of all time. It's fun, it's cool, it's inspiring and best of all, it's free.

Dwarf Fortress' learning curve is a 280 turn. It is literally the hardest game to get started.

The best part of the game is jumping in and figuring out everything yourself. Once it's all starting to piece together, it turns into a masterpiece. This jaw-droppingly awesome work of art turns into a time wasting entertainment deity that draws you in and beats you up, but unlike all the other times, you love it when it kicks your ass.
