3: On topic: It's far too round. Adding edges to make it Blocko would be hard to perfect. Possible, but possibly bad function wise.

I honestly never heard that, at least loveually, until I paid attention to that episode last night. I also watched it when it was about new, didn't even hear it because I wasn't hearing.

Also, Leonardo da Vinci's 'Aerial Screw' is not a 'parachute' as you had said, he had thought that the spinning of a sloped blade would cause his contraption to climb vertically, not in any other direction.  Unless you want to go against da Vinci and give his machine the ability to fly in any direction, the forget about the pre-technological era helicopter.
