I think I had this same problem, if you have not fixed it, restart steam.

Why when i hear this, i think of Team Fortress 2 as an adventure game where the menu has the buttons in the middle of the screen and he background showing a camera panning across a map with the characters running around (though not killing each other)

I like this update. Too bad there isn't a loving server supporting replays.

Also, I've thought about a movie; if I record the clips and edit them a little, and then use those clips n sony vegas to edit further, would that be acceptable or does it all have to be done in the ingame editor?

What the forget.  Do replays cost the server 500MB of HDD space or something for every player?
