Hey Miga, you seem to know a thing or two about Android devices, would you like to be our Android expert?

Sure, I guess.

Sure, I guess.

Sweet, thanks bro. I'll add you to the OP.

are you ignoring me on purpose

add rockbox and ipod linux to the post

alternate OS's for older ipods

No, but Miga has shown more competence with Android devices in the past. I suppose you could both be our Android experts, but I'm currently using Veency in combination with TightVNC Viewer on my computer to control my iPod (which is REALLY loving cool I must say), so I'll add you to the OP in a few minutes after I'm done doing this.

Mkay.

EDIT: OP has been updated with new information.

Something that you might also want to add to the main post for Android (rooted) is AndroSS, an open source screenshot app. When enabled, you can either shake the device or use the hardware camera button to take screenshots. Screenshots save to the SD card under the "/screenshots/" folder.

Screenshot quality is okay, but it can at times be somewhat low-quality.
Here's an example screenshot of my home screen that shows the quality pretty well in my opinion. Sorry for the anime-related background, but I'm too lazy to change it.

Here's another screenshot that shows the about screen and how well screenshots can end up looking.

ShootMe is a good one for that.

Also, just a question: does anybody else experience pixelated backgrounds? 'cuz I mean, that's a pretty high-resolution picture, but after I end up cropping it, it looks horrible (see the first screenshot I posted in my other post). The resolution's 1920x1200, and my device is 854x480. It happens with every other background I have too. Also, if you did and managed to fix it: how? I'd like to have high quality backgrounds.

I just re jail broke for the fifth time using 4.3.2
Guys get multi-touch gestures

jailbreaking Android devices.

Google isn't dumb enough to put limitations on what you can do with its software.  Jailbreaking an iphone just makes it more like an android device.

But device manufacturers are, and most (if not all) Android-powered devices must be jailbroken, aka "rooted" by the end-user to enable full functionality, the very few exceptions being the Google developer phones like the Nexus One and the Nexus S, which can both have official rooting instructions by Google themselves.

Jailbreaking makes the device much more enjoyable.

I mean, check this stuff out:

it will do nothing bad, sometimes it lags if you go batstuff with it, but besides that all it will do is mess up your warranty.
