DSi is called Homebrew, and theres a version of Homebrew for the WII also.
Alas, it requires special hardware.

For the Nintendo stuff it's called homebrew. And while possible under the DSi you can only access it in DS mode ATM (no camera, etc).

I've always bought phones from my carrier, so how would I go about getting a Nexus S with T-Mobile as my service provider?

Once again, why would you want to buy it through the service provider?
I don't know how it is in the US but here in Sweden they always add to the monthly subscription cost for a while (usually two years) and lock the phone to them, so you have to wait about two years and then pay them about 500 SEK for the unlocking. So it isn't really possible to take the phone with you if you want to switch carrier.
However, by buying the phone directly from the store, while the "introduction" price might be higher (as you pay for the phone at once), they don't add to the monthly cost, don't force you to use a special subscription and you are free to switch carrier as you please.

I don't want to buy it from the service provider, I was just wondering how I could buy it directly from a store and then get it to work with T-Mobile, because they're my current service provider, but you answered my question, so thank you.

You might want to mention Springtomize, it let's you customize Springboard and basically combines a ton of tweaks into one.

'cuz I modified my iPod Touch 2G to have virtual RAM. It's not a good "long term" solution for the very little RAM that the 2G originally has, because the NAND chips on the iPod don't have very many read/write cycles. I took the risk of using it because I knew I wasn't going to have my 2G for very much longer.

Before I had virtual RAM, I only had about 16 MB available at all times. The virtual RAM disk was 512 MB. The maximum available was around 80 MB. Says something about Apple's iOS taking up a lot of RAM.
