Author Topic: 1/3 and 2/3 bricks  (Read 4399 times)

this would be brciks that are 1/3 or 2/3 the width of a normal brick this would be good to make smaller spaces or smaller details in other words it's basically a sideways plate

And then people will request 1/4 bricks...

And then 1/8...

And 1/1000

And it'll keep going. I'll vote no.

I think the ability to use tiny bricks would be cool! You could make little detailed things like coffee makers, stereos with tiny buttons. I've actually thought about this before. Imagine the possibilities...

Person: Wat if some1 spams them or uses too many and lags da server?

Me: set a limit of tiny bricks per person, so people would only use them for detailed things.

Technically it wouldn't work with the grid system in blockland very well.

i need them to make small spaces between posts on a fence
you could do :
1,1/3 space, 2/3, 1/3
and it would make a small 1/3 space between them

Even though what OP is suggesting is impossible, the above quoted post is a terriable reason why not to do this, it's basically just the 'slippery slope fallicy'.

I don't think so. He said 1/3 and 2/3 because there are 1/3 and 2/3 height bricks. So why not width? And so far nobodies asked for 1/8 height bricks.

Wouldn't this just be done like tree's and such? it would be a rendering of a thin brick within the actual brick?

it wont work
We already have an upright 2x2 print plate, and THAT works. Why can't this?
But I agree, it would be pointless..

I fail to see in any way how a 2x2 print plate breaks the brick grid.

This is very simple to make, but it has to be 100% for looks, as you can't create a true 1/3 or 2/3 brick, but you can make the model for one, and use it as a special brick.

what if you made it like props or something

i think you guys forgot that we are playing with legos here. a 1x1 brick fits a single stud. thats how we build...
you cant have a smaller brick then that, it wont fit on the stud. duhhhhh

*imagination and the laws of blockland physics

It doesn't. Its basically a 2x2 brick, but modeled standing up...

And we are NOT playing with Legos here. This is NOT a Lego game. Yes, it DOES resemble Legos, but it is NOT Lego. This is a game "Where you build stuff", not a game that "Exactly simulates Legos".
