The small data that has been recovered is showing a normal flight, until a few minutes before the collision. The yoke seems to have been suddenly jerked to the side, then released and snapped back into normal position. That is where the data ends. This adds to evidence that the pilot had fallen asleep.

• With New Years only a few hours away, everybody is heading over to Sierpinski square to get ready for the New Years festival. It looks like it's going to be a great one, with clear skies in the forecast.
