how the forget is it the ussr.

it doesn't even have an eighth of the landmass the ussr has, not as much as the population, and where are these reports coming from?

Good news everyone!

We've finished our lasgun technology, to an extent.
It's been compacted to a medium backpack, powered by fragile batteries that when activated, launch a packet of red hot energy through the air! It's good against light vehicles and heavy infantry. It's bulky though, so the wielders need support for the lighter soldiers. It weighs 110 pounds.

P.S: Don't get it wet.
