Author Topic: Anyone else mad about this?  (Read 1848 times)

Dumbells' key sucked ass anyways.

nobody, do you expect badspot to check with every one of the million stuffty addons people make to make sure his updates work well with them? its not his damn job. i wouldnt be surprised if he never knew dumbells addons ever existed. why should he be concerned about the stuff dumbells makes?

It's not badspot's job to make sure his updates don't break third party add ons.

Badspot could care less about the add on system.

funkyshirt
mininuke
all v8 add ons
Map mirrors
spaceguy's events
rotondo's zombie mod (at one point)
multi-tool wand/gun

The list goes on and on.

Again, the point of conversation is NOT about the fault of Badspot. Its to see if "Anyone else mad about this". "This" being: The removal of dUMBELLS key. I see where your Both coming from though and no, its not his job to check to see what new updates may overwrite.

No one said that this was Badspots fault. I just wish I could get that Key back, no matter how "stuffty" it was.

You can still download it somewhere and change the name.

Where? Id really like to know. All links are dead as far as I know.

Spaceguy's events? you mean the ones from V8 that were made as a substitute before V9 came?
I hate anybody who brings up a once loved V8 addon only for it to be failed and shoved into the failbin and be disrespected forever.

Also, if you really think that key models are so god damned important for you, why don't you try coding alternate keys that match Badspot's key events?

If you're pissed:

A - Find Badspots keys in Add-ons folder
B - delete it
C - Download dUMBELL's key from somewhere
D - ???
E - Profit.

It's funny because Badspot's keys are better.

I kind of agree. I miss the old Item_Key, which is why I searched for it, with no luck. But eventually, I did find it. Look up "dUMBELLS Item_Key.zip" on Google and click the first result. Also, rename it to "Item_Key2" instad of "Item_Key" before placing it in your Add-Ons folder. Unfortunately, looks like you guys beat me to it. I don't really like the old Item_Key being replaced, which is why I didn't stop until I found it.
