Yeah, Skype was acquired by Microsoft sometime in the past week or something. $5.8 billion. Jeez.

If they seriously bring back hotmail, i'll be wat'ing. Plus, the fact that I'm on a mac doesn't help. If they add this to Office, do you think this'd mean no more mac Skype? That would be sad.

I stopped using Hotmail after it decided it wanted to send me a text message every time I logged in.

If Skype becomes the same way I'm never going to use it either.

microsoft makes office for mac as well

and they wouldn't bundle it with those apps because thats not why skype is great. they aren't going to make people pay hundreds of dollars lol

they bought skype for $5.8 billion and assumed skype's $1.6 billion debts
i think they need the money for the moment. sounds like something they'd do.
also they're renaming it like Skype VoIP Enterprise Edition or something

1. Integrate it with the Xbox

How did I guess that!? I must have superpowers...

Also, microsoft has a few apps for iphone.  Photosynth is particularly awesome.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOO

Now Microsoft will probably disable Skype on the PSP

I just hope it stays free.

Yes, or else no skype chats with random people Nienhaus brings in :c

The only good thing I can imagine coming out of this is Xbox not having horrible voice quality.

Well, look what Skype's codec did for steam.

I haven't used Steam's voice chat since they improved it, but since that update, I have actually seen people using Steam voice chat.
Which I had never seen done before.

I hope they incorporate it into LIVE and Kinect.

Wouldn't THAT be beast...
