You judge somebody by their avatar? Really?

When their avatar is completely loving stupid (Take yours for example), it says a lot about the person.

I mean, only an idiot would use THAT.

...

Now it seems you're groping for insults.

Here's what a few proper responses would be

No. 1:
You didn't respond at all; thus not making yourself look like an idiot

No. 2:
"Stop liking what I don't like!"

No. 3:
It's not that stupid.

No. 4:
You're right, I guess I should stop posting forever

an avatar is the simple representation of who you are. you dont spend time on the net (or even in real life) to get to know people you randomly see. and why should you?

yes, avatars give you an instant judgment of what you can expect from that person, whether you want to or not you all do it.

if you crop out some gif clip from some cigarettegy cartoon, and caption it with a very old and unfunny meme; it means you want people to instantly think you are some immature fad chasing child. instant loss in respect.

I'm not "Groping for insults", as if that were a real idiom at all anyways, I was just pointing out how you call his avatar stupid yet yours is nothing but an assortment of random colors that doesn't really represent anything, except maybe the inside of a kaleidescope.

im going to start using "groping for..." phrases in rl now lol.
it sounds awesome.

Bisjac uses the literal form of that quite often I'm sure.

Generally people chose an avatar on these forums based on whatever they presently like, regardless of them knowing that it represents them.

My avatar greatly represents what I currently like, even down to the tea drinking.

Avatars don't have to represent anything, they're just a way of personalization.

If everybody had the same avatar, things would be dull. Foruming tends to be more fun when you have more to personalize. This is why forum themes are popular.

Pretty non-sequitur aren't we?

Pretty non-sequitur aren't we?

I'm pretty sure you're just not reading the context correctly.

I was calling HIS avatar stupid, and that stupid over-used avatars = uncreative and usually stupid people. I never said anything about expressing yourself or any of that other bullstuff.
