just try chrome for a minute stubborn ass
im running windows xp professional and chrome allows me to squeeze what little mercy i can get out of this dying computer

We're not trying to get you to switch because we're fanboys, we're doing it because it's better. And it's for your safety too.  Chrome is much more secure.

Ooh, look at this. Some data to go with an argument! Too bad YOU, will not persuade me either. I am satisfied with the performance and security of IE8. I've not had to wait more than a second or two for a video or image to load, and I've had no viruses or breeches on my computer in all the years I've used the IE line of browsers, even when I was a seven year-old idiot who clicked on every "you just won a free Nintendo 46!" ad that showed up on my screen.

Now, as you can clearly see, I don't really give a stuff about how blazing fast and ultra safe your browsers are. I am content with what I use, but I have one teeny-tiny problem, and I wish to know how to finally be rid of this problem, not how to run away from it. Future 'switch browser' comments will be ignored.

Don't get pissy when we give you a perfectly good solution

IE is stuff

You are stuff

I have determined that this issue is not broswer related, and have changed OP and topic title.
The issue only appears in IE8, therefore it is browser related. Either change your browser or shut the forget up. In other words:
