I will never understand console gaming.

You're paying a company for a computer that only does one thing.
This computer can only access the Internet if you pay additional fees.
This computer costs a lot of money, even though that money can be applied to computer parts for your real computer that can do anything, and usually for cheaper.
Games can be played on your real computer with a joystick based controller.
Nobody can terminate your real computer because you did something the computer's manufacturers did not like.

It's been shown that console gamers on average do worse than PC gamers performance wise, and there have been unsuccessful attempts at merging the worlds of PC and Console Gamers that have been scrapped on account of the skill difference.

i dont know why they say consoles themselves are going to go away. but they did refer to the owning of physical media that is going to be dead.
thank god.

Well, maybe not for PS3...

I do agree with them on the prediction that perhaps the consoles themselves have reached their peak, but console gaming has been a standard for 30 years; I can foresee console games and accessories being made for a long time.

EDIT: Now as for motion gaming...

obama bin laden
Dear god I just righteously laughed at that

At least where I live, console gaming is still the mainstream. Everybody I know plays console, and I don't think they even realize the computer's potential for gaming. I don't think that's going to end any time soon.

Also, if you consider things like Farmville to be games, there are probably more causal gamers on computer than hardcore.

Fox can go suck a huge fat one. They have no idea what the hell they're talking about?

1. Get really good gaming PC
2. show friends some really high-def game.
3. ???
4. Profit

Guys come on now, Fox is half right. Console gaming is near the end and the next generation consoles will come soon.

About a mont ago I asked one of my friends if he could download Steam so I could give him my free copy of Portal I got with Portal 2. He said something like, "I don't download things I don't trust." I think it's going to take a lot of work to convert people, because most people prefer consoles for their simplicity.

There are games I want to physically own, forcing everyone to download something off the internet is bullstuff.

On Dreamcast version of Quake 3, it had pc vs Dreamcast multiplayer.

Other way around, if anything. PC gaming has been dying throughout the years, not consoles lol.

Fox news can suck my richard.
But I already have that covered~
