That's not what I was replying to. I was confused at the fact that you said Gentoo was a beginner's distro.

Do you have a parent or friend who can set up an OS like Windows easily but isn't that computer literate? Get them to install Ubuntu and they'll probably think it's easy. Then, tell them to install Gentoo and they'll either a) ragequit or b) forget something up.

How do I install this?  Let alone download it?

Also Fedora and Mandriva are badass. openSUSE and others are meh.

OpenSUSE was nice. also first linux distro i used.
