What is We Rule?We Rule is a social media game for iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad. Before you wave it off as another stuffty Farmville clone, hear me out. This game is addicting, well drawn, consistently updated (like any game, hurr), and isn't oriented around crops and harvesting so much as designing a kingdom with decorations and businesses. You start with a helpful tutorial that gets you started on the game, and there are plenty of guides online if you want to know what crops/businesses/groves provide the best XP and Gold. You have a kingdom that starts as a little fort, but you can upgrade, make it larger, and design a more elaborate kingdom as you level up. You level up by gathering experience points (XP) from businesses, crops, groves, and orders. Businesses are shops and things that you can place using Gold (also earned from crops and groves) that periodically give you more XP and Gold to help you level up.
What is mojo?Another feature of We Rule is a magical liquid called "mojo". Mojo can be used to speed up the growing of crops, the delivering of orders, and the purchasing of shops and things. It costs real money, so it's really just a bonus thing if you want to delve more into the game and speed through levels faster. By no means do you have to buy any at all, it's mainly a source of income for the game creator ngmoco.
More infoThe game is free, very addicting, and there are thousands and thousands of other players so you don't need to worry about not being able to find friends (which is required for the tutorial). When you go to the social map you can switch to a screen that shows people near the same level as you to add as friends and make orders from. So read into the game more if you want to, just thought I'd share this game with you.
