Garry's Mod Help

Well, apparently my copy of gmod forgeted up and now half of my downloaded gun addons don't have sounds, and some are even plain white texture. I cleared out my addons folder and re extracted the pack to teh addons folder from my archive, and it's still broken.

Everything else works fine, so I need to know what to do. Do I need to reinstall (and if so, how to?), do I need to edit something, ect.

What "pack" are you extracting?

well apparently, others are having the same problem, so it's some gmod update problem.
Imma just lock this now.

Apparently with the new forthcoming of the garry's mod update Garry's Mod sounds aren't from the garrysmod/garrysmod/sounds.

Put the sound folder from the addons folder in garrysmod/scripts/sounds.

Im a garrysmod expert, let me figure this out.

First, let me download it.

Alright, you need winrar.

It should auto open in winrar.

Make sure you read the desc, if you need a previous version or deleting the previous.


Just drop it in your addons folder. works for me.

I believe that I didn't follow the readme exactly. I cut/pasted the sound scripts instead of copy/pasted. Imma try this now, see if it works.
