Author Topic: 3D Artwork  (Read 1895 times)

Recently I was wondering if anyone here uses Blender (or any other program) for more than just modeling. I'm talking about full renderings, means an actual scene with (more or less) proper lighting, textures, effects, ambient occlusion and whatnot.

I am NOT talking about simple renderings that only show a model.

I had some, not anymore though.

I have before.

Takes alot of time if you want it to look amazing.

Most people snap a simple render because there just going in the 3D modeling thread.

Sounds like you simply stopped making them. Why?

I just take a model that has no textures and is just gray or such, paint it with photoshop and make a fine scenery.
Then watch at it for a hour and then put it in a folder that i will never look into again.

I stopped making them half because of motivation and the rest is not having enough time.

A screenshot from a game doesn't count.

I understand. Getting it right can take quite a long time.

If that was a screenshot from a game, I wouldn't have posted it.

This is an old one but it's my first scene. No idea if this is supposed to be a final render.

Tip for the sharp eyed: Try changing the number of the image to see earlier renders.

Did I seriously just kill this topic with my render or do this few people actually create scenes here?

Not a single serious rendering lately. I might do one this evening again.
