Author Topic: Help With Sony Vegas (Read 1319 times)

I just finished editing a video for a class project with Sony Vegas 10. I tried rendering the video as a .fla AND a .wav file, and when I tried opening them, they were just four-second clips of nothing but black, when my video is actually about four minutes. Can anyone help me render the video so its file size is much smaller, but retains the same quality?

Why don't you just render it as an avi file?

If it's 4:30, it's going to be under 1 GB which isn't too bad.

a .wav file is a soud file not a movie file bro

Is the playhead at the beginning?

Okay, which template should I use? I tried =NTSC, but that presented the same problem.

By playhead, do you mean the bar you use to select stuff with on the sequencer?

Okay, I just tried rendering it as a .wmv, and it's 225 megs, so that should be fine. If you have a better idea, please tell me.

Only thing I can think of is this:
There should be a bar with two arrows that resize the bar above the timeline. The part of the video you want to render has to be in the width of the bar.

I always do .wmv because it's a pretty flexible format for SVP.

From what I've heard about it, though, it's pretty low-quality.

I already do that......
