Author Topic: My Reasons for Being Atheist  (Read 19901 times)

Human values are all but compositions of ethics and thoughts made to sustain each other. Like I said, we are no different from the destiny of a comet 15 billion years from now.
Since the universal understanding and weight system is all the same, everything costs the same.
This makes our delusions equal to what we consider right and real. I don't care if someone in Japan marries an anime character, it bears no true equality.
This is why I don't care about Brones, Furries, Otakus, and normals.
I'm not afraid of death, but my body is.

What I said means absolutely nothing.

This is the ultimate mood of the universe.

Edit: Buddhist monks practice meditation, the ultimate state where no thought is processed for hours. You can compare it to death.

Although after all of this I'm still a happy person because I see this as the ultimate truth and hence the tragic beauty. Also why I spend so much time listening to ambient music.

Like I say, in the end it'll all shroud itself in darkness once again. No life form will ever tread this space matter ever again for the rest of eternity.

I believe that's called deconstructionist theory, in terms of literature. The idea that literature can't be interpreted in any other school of thought because the words are nothing more than an interpretation of petty thoughts in our minds.

Hoorah for deep conversations.

I take deep pleasure in being conscious, so should the rest of the world.

Meh, the only deep pleasure I get is from vaginas.

Diogenes of Sinope is my most inspirational role model.

He fapped in public but he had the best excuse.

Both atheism and religion are stupid.
How the forget can you tell God is real -- on the other hand, how can you tell that he's not?
Someone give me evidence of either side being correct, please.
Don't give me the "science happened so atheism must be correct" bullstuff -- maybe God created one-celled organisms to see how they would fare?
And don't give me the "look inside yourself, jesus is within our hearts and bla bla bla bla" bullstuff -- it just doesn't have any substance to it.

God is the only one of his kind.  It is the theists' job to prove his existence, not the atheists'.

Also, when a Christian tries to use the Bible to prove the validity of God, laugh in their face.

How do you know he's real?
I'm not saying the Bible proves his validity - that's a load of stuff.
But what does, exactly?

Pics or it didn't happen. That goes for both.

It is the theists' job to prove his existence, not the atheists'.
Those are powerful words but it all comes down not to his beliefs, but to how ignorant he is.

if god has always existed, then why did he wait so long to create the universe and eventually people?
the bible is pretty clear that god needs us to praise him and needs us to do this and that. hes a very needy guy.

so why did he suddenly decide to create it all? no, the "god has a plan and reason for everything" lines arent going to work on this logic. because doing nothing for 10 minutes or doing nothing for 100 trillion years would be the same thing if nothing existed; meaning there is no cause and effect for his actions at that point.

only possible answer (if we are assuming god is real)
he is selfish. and had to create "something" to need him. an all powerful being that shouldnt need anything. needs us.
thats not a god

Here's my personal opinion on things.

Humans are not even close enough to being capable of understanding something powerful enough to create us. Whether it was growing from microscopic organisms or being created by godly laser beams, it's way beyond our possible knowledge and way beyond our time.

But let's forget about the past, and especially the bible.
I'm sure if god is real, he'd want me to burn a bible.

Because everything is made of atoms and atoms can't exist before the universe so if god created the universe, then he can't be made of atoms so he can't exist. Also, Atheism is a religion, just one that believes no deity. In fact, you are saying you don't know which is Agnostic, and so you are of Agnostic religion.

It feels good to be around an eased crowd discussing things such as this.

Never mind.
Thanks....

^^This gentlemen is an idiot.  Please disregard.

Also, I feel that if there were a God, why wouldn't children be born as believers?
