Author Topic: loving college algebra  (Read 4217 times)

Correct, but it's definitely been really fun since I'm learning about subjects I'm interested in. Yea I can learn about electronics and programming outside of college but it's conveniently in one place and the are lots of people to talk to with.
This is the only reason I'm even considering going to a real college campus.

You're cool because you just called him fat... OVER THE INTERNET. Also, getting laid at 15 is better? No, it is not. I'd rather be a virgin forever than having love at loving 15 years old. Plus, how is it wrong to have a younger girlfriend? I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm pretty sure you're just saying that because it's Iban and a known "child enthusiast" on the forums. You're an ass for saying that. How would your life be any better if someone on the internet killed himself? You take stuff too serious.Yes, that is called bragging. Seeing as the OP is raging on how fed up he is with it.

He's cool because he called me an starfish... OVER THE INTERNET! Go tell mommy on me, maybe she'll call the internet police and they'll backtrace me and putted me under the arrests!

And I never said that getting laid at a younger age is better, I never said ANYTHING about age regarding love, actually, I don't even think I said ANYTHING about me having love at a younger age in ANY of my posts in this thread, I was just simply calling him out on point out everyone elses flaws, when he is half of them as well.

And nah, I've tried to make nice with Iban sooo many times, and I try to be nice to him whenever I see him around in-game/on css, but then he ends up saying something stupid and I realize why I dislike him.

And call me an ass, sweetheart, don't give a forgetkool kids klubk. I'd rather be an honest starfish than a two-faced cunt.

It's not wrong to have a younger girlfriend who is in your own loving age group. He's 18/19 and he was infatuated with a 13/14 year old girl whom he busted his ass to prove was a male, and yet the whole time he was still being all butthurt she was talking to other people.

Lmfaooo. College algebra is a joke, I took it sophomore year of highschool. Its straight up faillll.

I did it Freshman year hue.

It isn't really just parabolas, because that stuff is done in seventh grade (8th/9th for most people).  What you do in "college algebra" is conics, and all the different things that can occurr from a plane intersecting two cones.  Some parts of it are a little useful for calculus, but really it is stuff you don't need to know unless you plan on teaching it, lol.

i was 17 when shelby was 15. you're still an idiot.

Well, that's not entirely true, Algebra is very helpful in trigonometry as well as calculus, seeing as how a lot of the formulas and such are very similar, and of course, half of that stuff you won't need to know after college, but it's still something that doesn't hurt to be learned.

And you're 18/19 when Stocking was 14, lol.

Oh yea, I forgot about trig.  I did that in half a year, since my school does a Trig/AP Calc A, then does AP Calc BC next year.  It is all cumulative, and I think that what I am still doing in Calc is helpful and still applicable to life, although for alot of Algebra 2 (college algebra), they didn't even bother giving application problems, because how is knowing how to graph a hyperbola or do matrix operations going to help me in any way at all outside of math class?

Yeah, I think most schools do it that way, Trig/AP Alg2 and then Calc or Pre-calc the next year.

Alg2 is not an AP class as far as I know.  In my school the honors kids go to Trig/Pre-Calc, and then the honors people above that (me :D) do Trig/AP calc A.  Not Trig/Alg2, and pre-calc doesn't take a whole year.

In my old school, it was AP Alg2/Trig and then AP Calc in 1 semester.

It's forgeted up, you have to take pre-calc before alg2/trig. \(-_-)/

High school Geometry.
FYI folks, you will never use proofs in your entire life.

Really now? Last time you joined me on CS:S you were being an ass to him while he didn't even say something to you.

Now guess what? He doesn't give a forget you call him fat, so you might as well not call him fat. It has nothing to do with the arguement whatsoever.

He was 16-17 when he was with Shelby. There's nothing wrong with it.

When were they ever together? And Stocking is not even 14.

Ya, I can easily learn how to program stuff on my own time with no problem, but I've benefited from the structured class environment in learning the theory behind computation and why it works instead of just knowing how to program.

College is what you make of it. It's a great place to meet other students with the same interests and professionals with experience. Or you can just slump through your classes without ever challenging yourself beyond what is required. I'm in an internship right now, on a design project group with a professor, and will be in a research lab come fall. Some of my friends get by on C's and get drunk every night.

*rage*
What the hell is wrong with you? You had no reason to post any of that stuff besides to be an starfish.

Pssst, geometry is covered in high school.

And it loving sucks too.  I can't wait to be done and go into Hon. Algebra II next year as a sophomore.  It's only worth sitting in my Hon. Geometry class because my teacher's son sits to the left of me which makes for funny as hell things.

Just wait for Geometry.

So...

Many...

Proofs!

Geometry is easy as hell.
