oh my god yes
my friend just gave me a key to SFM
make em give me one

If you're a good player 'noob' weapons as you speak of should be easy to counter.
Well, except not really. Most of them don't even give you a chance. How is one to counter a stuffty weapon like the Direct Hit, or Loch n' Load, when you turn the corner and run into the demoman/soldier then get one-hit killed by a cheap weapon with ridiculous damage? The answer isn't to play a class with more health. Let's not even talk about crits, because no matter how good you are they'll allow some brainless moron to kill you because that's what they were intended for. To give the people who are bad at this game a chance. That's why they're terrible.

The Pomson is just throwing a Volkswagen down a corridor and whoever made it drain ubers and cloak was really brilliant, they knew exactly how to annoy people with a practically unavoidable weapon whose hitboxes are the same as the rocket launcher's. Then you have weapons that exist solely to make a class even easier for people to play, like the Bad Box and Training Wheel Launcher. Real, good soldiers don't need to rely on giving themselves health or faster rockets to actually function in the game, and those are the soldiers I'd rather pocket. When you can only load three out of four rockets, you're practically useless. Cow Mangler is just laughable. Everyone I've seen use it has been terribad at it.

The Soda Pooper is another example of a weapon that exists solely to make a class easier. It's like you're announcing to the world you wouldn't be able to kill anyone without relying on a constant supply of minicrits you get for doing absolutely nothing. And really, most of the people I've seen use it are too stupid to even put it away just before they reach full hype to save the stupid crits for when they need it. They just keep running. Force-A-Nature is fine now.

Heavy is just... heavy. I've not seen anyone use Natascha just because how laughably useless it is, and Bad Beast heavies are usually terrible players. Anyone who will give up the already low mobility the Heavy has just for a little bit of damage obviously isn't right in the head.

Demoknight is the all time worst. Why Valve added this mutilation of demoman, I'll never know. With a launcher that can two-hit kill a heavy, a shield with ridiculous damage resistance, the ability to earn instant crits after barely a second of charge, coupled with faster move speed and higher health per head... it's absolutely idiotic. When it's a stupid demoknight it's fine, because chances are he's going to miss those OP rooster n' Load pipes, so you can take him down easy. However, when he has a quarter of a brain he can just peek around corners and spam his pipes, then charge at you for about three inches, get an insta-crit (because they broke that) then walk off scott-free.

Except natatsha isn't useless, many people actually think it's OP
Also, a three-rocket soldier isn't useless either. If anything, it teaches people to aim instead of just holding down the fire button in an attempt to surround their enemies with explosions. You can play smart and avoid getting into situations where you have to use more than 3 rockets in the span of a single second

Id pay for a slow rocket that you can control where it goes

Can't comment on that. I've faced off against one heavy with it in the past few months and the lower damage is what caused his death.

Oh please, don't tell me you actually believe that. If anything the Bad Box will want people to spam more rockets so they can replenish their health. The average TF2 player doesn't really think like that, and I can attest that every soldier I've played against or pocketed (sans maybe Regulith) who uses that weapon couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. PS you can still aim with the rocket launcher and it is encouraged to do so thanks to the slow projectile speed and medicore damage compared to a direct hit.

For the LL, the speed trade-off with the missing rocket isn't worth it. As a career medic I can assure you when it comes to competitive/teamwork, that forth rocket is extremely useful for defending your healer or attacking. One extra in reserve can change the tide of a battle, just like keeping the shotgun as back-up. I can forgive using either the BB or LL if he has a shotgun but many just tote around the Buff Banner and while that's all well and good, they are severely lacking from the offense and defense standpoint. Three rockets just don't cut it.

Your first comment on the loch n load/direct hit; that's just bad luck.
I agree with the Pomson comment.
Black Box is good on maps where hp is scarce.
LL - Is pretty terrible : \
Cow Mangler is okay but not really to be taken seriously
Soda Popper is good in the right persons hands
Natasha is OKAY. Not as good as default IMO but good if the other team has a lot of Scouts.
Demoknights aren't that bad to dodge, but half demoknights you need a little bit more skill to dodge the projectiles. Really it's just as bad as a direct hit (and since when can loch n load 2-shot a heavy?)

Stop playing on servers with random crits and idiots if things like this annoy you? There are loads of servers that have decent players and no random crits.

What's this Hale's own thing?

its a strange at its last level...its kinda like saying "HEY LOOK I GOT HALES OWN PISS IS I COOL YET" by racking up kills in an idle sever, but in the right players hands it isn't that annoying to see...

Dumbo probably got too close, it causes slow-downs for a reason

It's all a different style of play. Playing with the black box is good for maps like turbine where you can get up high and rain some light damage down on your opponents in the middle of the map. This is a good thing to do when you have just barely survived a different encounter and you'd like to heal a bit while continuing to stay in the game. For the liberty launcher, 40% is a freaking huge buff. It's better suited for maps where cluster points are reasonable distances away, like 2fort. You can get up in the sniper ledge and shoot some rockets at the other team, or even the other snipers. Usually, people on the other side will manage to dodge slow-moving regular rockets by moving back behind shelter, but they'll lose quite a lot of reaction time, probably being injured or killed easily. You can utilize your own cover to reload your 3 rockets.
I think we can agree on one thing though, the dumbest thing you can do is use one weapon for all situations and maps. Different environments are more advantageous to you when you use the right gear at the right time, and simply using any weapon (excepting most stock weapons) all the time will get you killed.

>implying everyone levels up their stranges on idle servers

I bet there are people that actually do that just so they can brag about their fake skills :(

And those people are colossal douchebags
