Those are pretty cool.

My score isn't too impressive, but I think the amount of dominations I'm running aren't too shabby.

By the way, I had 30 headshots, the number's a bit obscured.

Can someone explain to me how idling to obtain items works?

1. Idle
2. Get items.

2. Get items.

But don't you have to die to get items? I would assume by idling you're just standing in your spawn room, completely safe.

I think it's something like joining an idleing server and then the move forward and left console commands and leave it over night

Idle servers usually have spawn rooms that deposit you into a hopper which funnels you into a room full of people trying to level strange weapons.

Idling maps auto take health away from you every second so you die.
I don't even use idle servers and I know that :o

Your drops are determined by a timer, that gives you a random amount of time to play before obatining an item. Therefore, idling is basically playing the game for several hours, ensuring the timer resets and gives you items several times. However, the timer only resets a certain number (6-12) times per week, and that's how many items you can get. The drop rate resets every Wednesday at midnight. Crates don't count for the timer also.

As for dying/not dying, it seems to me that the game autodisconnects you if you don't move/get killed for a certain amount of time.

Hopefully that'll clear some things up.

whenever i idle i change my tf2 launch options to this

Code: [Select]
-textmode -nosound -noipx -novid -nopreload -nojoy -sw -maxplayers 2 +sv_lan 1 +map "itemtest"
it disables everything but the console and starts a local server, just leave it on overnight and you get stuff :D

All right, thanks guys.

You aren't gonna enjoy idling.

You get items every so often no matter what, but to actually use them you have to die.

So I crafted two flare guns and a spare axetinguisher (flare and axe achievement items, I have another axe even though I use molten volcano fragment and the detonater anyway) into a Pyro token. Then I combined Natasha (I use Brass Beast), the Original (I use Cow Mangler/Liberty Launcher) and a spare Frontier Justice (Pomson 6000 lol) into a Primary token. I then used my spare scrap and crafted them. I wasn't expecting great results but look:

:D
It's not tradeable but I don't care. I'm so happy.

That's a great weapon for rushing. Nice.
