Have you heard the news? They are going to discontinue the Land Rover Defender :/

:D

Do want

Rims are loving ugly though, need to hook it up with some sleek black ones.

Also this is a sad bump because I can't loving find a car that isn't total stuff.

Bump because we're gonna look at a car this weekend that might be worth checking out.

It's a 1995 Dodge Avenger with a sunroof, leather, most cool stuff you'd see in a coupe. It has an aftermarket audio system including a CD player thank god. It only needs a new A/C belt and a recharge and from what the guy said it's good to go. :D

I don't know about it, though, insurance might be iffy since it's a two door sporty looking thing, might even be classified as a sports car which would shoot it down immediately. I also wanted to look at one of these;

Seems pretty stock but judging by Craigslist pictures it should be nice.

:)

Bump because that's my sort of car; I have a 1997. Is the one you looked at the v6 or 4-cylinder?

It had the V6 but I think it sold which is fine I guess because as I got deeper into the deal and did some research, a serpentine belt is expensive to install, and apparently it's common for owners to take those off if the compressor is broken so I might have had to get a new A/C compressor and a serpentine belt AND an A/C recharge would would have been a lot just for A/C. I think insurance would have been high on it as well.

can't go wrong with a taurus, probably get it for pretty cheap since there's so many of them. having 4 doors is definitely a plus; even though i almost never have more one other person in the car, the rear doors are great since i can use it like a trunk by just popping open the door then throwing the stuff on the back seat.

There are tons around here of all different years lol. I went back after we crossed the Avenger out and what do you know, the Taurus is gone as well!

My luck has been phenomenal, seriously. I finally put up an ad on Craigslist saying people can send me emails with cars lol. I got a guy selling what looks to be like maybe a 2000 Honda Civic which to me is gold, I love the body style of them, but it's kinda out of my range at $2500 but I'll see if I can haggle it down a little. I also got some guy with a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville which actually looks really nice but really dirty. The only thing concerning me about that is if it's as dirty as it is, did the people actually take care of it. I also got a 2002 Bonneville that looks pretty decent too.

I guess we'll see. :S

EDIT: Yeah four doors would be good, but useless for me aside from lowering my insurance rates I guess. I don't know what they're like with coupes.

i figure that "coupe" raises some big warning bells with insurance, since coupes tend to also be sporty, fast-ish cars.

Tom

I don't think what kind of car it is really matter for insurance when it's that old.

a decade old isn't going to make a difference to insurance.

16 year old + coupe = high insurance
well, it's more like 16 year old + anything = high insurance, but still.

I'm pretty sure a 16 year old car would cost less than a newer one.
Oh you were talking about driver age lol.
