except most of them are piles of rusty metal by now

only way to get one (with the split windows that is, bay window ones are more common atleast here) is to buy a restored one (they are usually pricey though) ,restore one yourself or to buy a brazilian reproduction.

The right headlight seems icky a bit, as if moisture made its way behind the glass bit.

I'm not one to care if the car is authentic, just that it looks cool.
Brazilian reproduction it is.
I'd gut out the inside and add furniture and stuff.

just paint it violet, paint all chrome details gold-ish and rust it up a bit.

my car has a gap in the rubber seal around the headlight, and there's condensation in the assembly. it's a colossal pain in the ass to fix.
