Only good vehicles made in japan are OHV's
OHV engines have much less accurate timing at higher RPMs, and they generally will have much lower redlines because of this. I'm not sure if it really matters for everyday driving, but OHC engines are superior in high performance uses.
Also I'm sure all Japanese cars use OHC engines by now. OHV is outdated as hell but many US automakers still use them for cheapness.
