Go to the game via the steam folders
Get game files
Import to flash drive
???
Profit.

I think.

Steam will probably deactivate your account and send you a $100 000 000 fine, then sue you because you moved a file without steam's permission.

But then there is no way to start the game?

Unless there is an .exe hidden somewhere in those folders.

Also, I forgot to put the reason why I wanted it on there.

this entire week we are doing useless stuff, since school ends soon. So I want to play it in school. Show some of my friends.

If you already purchased it, pirate it to your flash drive. Usually pirated steam games don't require steam to use. You already gave Valve your money, so as long as you aren't giving the flashdrive to people you should be fine.

I generally dislike pirating.

Any other ways around it?

There is a way to put it on there if you have it, but it's questionably legal.

It's not questionable at all. If Steam has the game installed but it's not on the user's account, they can't play it.

what?

Get the ncf or gcf files of the game and stick them in \steamapps when you install steam on the computer you want to play it on. You can't play it directly from the drive.

I found my Terraria folder inside the common folder in \steamapps, if I were to put that on a flash drive, I'd be able to play it without installing steam.

no

Steam cannot install or access games on any other drive other than the one it is installed on. You will either have to install steam to your flash drive or move the files over to it from /steamapps and install steam on the computer you want to play it on, then drag them out back into /steamapps on the new computer.

Why?
It's a pain in the ass and it doesn't let my family play together on the same purchase, unlike every single other damn game I have.

steam is only 3 or so megabytes so just put them both on.
